Coming off the highly successful release of her debut country album, industry veteran Lisa Matassa will heighten the momentum when she opens for Grammy award-winning country superstar LeAnn Rimes on Sunday, May 20th, at the NYCB Theatre in Westbury, NY. Long Island’s first country music recording artist will be performing songs from her critically acclaimed debut country album, Sunrise Highway, including current hit single, “Wouldn’t You Like To Know.”
Co-written with legendary writer Don Rollins (“It’s Five O’clock Somewhere”), “Wouldn’t You Like To Know”, has already hit #1 New and Active on the Billboard Indicator Charts. Fans can look forward to the accompanying music video set to be released to GAC and CMT early next month.
“I’ve been having a great time on the road promoting this album but it is always an honor to come home and perform for my fans who have been there from the start,” says Matassa.
Produced by LMA Productions under the direction of Tony Bruno (Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias) and Joey Sykes (Meredith Brooks, Third Eye Blind, and Don Henley), Sunrise Highway is an inspired musical compilation that incorporates traditional country values and powerhouse vocals backed by rockin’ contemporary production. Studio time was split between Jim “Moose” Brown’s (co writer of Alan Jackson’s “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere” and Co-Producer on Jamey Johnson’s album, “That Lonesome Song”) studio in Nashville and the legendary Cove City Sound Studios in Glen Cove, New York where Long Island music legends like Billy Joel and Mariah Carey, as well as musical icons like Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion have also recorded.
Tickets for the May 20th show are currently on sale and range from $49.50 to $69.50. For more information please call the NYCB Theater at Westbury: (516) 334-0800 or visit www.livenation.com
